- have a good mix of project delivery, business development, account management and technical domain knowledge in telecoms software within tier 1 telecoms clients.

- presently be working in a big 4 consulting or tier 2 telecoms company

- be responsible for applications development and deployment and integration of intelligent software for Tier-1 telecommunication service providers to ensure voice, data, IP and content services over legacy and next generation networks.

HUNTERS -Business Development roles galore!!

There is a limit to the cost cutting exercises any company can attempt, right?

The recent week has seen a spurt of Sales/Business Development roles come up through our network of associates -most of them in IT space. Here is a sample of the HUNTERS required!

1.Vice President level role for a large IT services company.

The ideal person would have handled a SBU -in the BFSI space. Someone who is responsible for handling about 100m USD business-or handled huge accounts amounting to similar value. Its largely a sales driven role (80%) with a bit of delivery responsibility (20%). The position could be based anywhere in the US.

2 VP Sales- for a BPO

The ideal person would have handled 50 m USD deals in the BFSI segment in the recent past. Based in California/NJ, the VP will report to the Head of Americas.

3.Business Development Managers - based in US, UK, Australia and Singapore.

Multiple positions exist for persons in the 8-12yrs experience category with at least 3 yrs in one of the following domains- Data warehousing & Business Intelligence, Testing, Content Management & Portal, Mainframes & Mid range, Consulting services.

4. Retail Consultant- based in Chennai

We are looking for a 10-12yrs exp retail specialist- a client facing role who would gather requirements and initial bits of design.

5. Technical Evangelist-Information Management

Based in Bangalore, this role would involve a lot of travel ( almost 50% of the time)!!

The incumbent will lead the early pre-sales assessment, awareness, and demand generation activities of a comprehensive portfolio of products for helping companies integrate, manage and gain value from their business information

Oil & Gas professionals for Saudi Arabia

This assignment is being front ended by my NPA partner in the US. And the client is among the biggest players in the world with over 50000 employees.

Positions exist across levels-and functions!

My affiliate has been closely working with them for over 38years now, and helps them hire a variety of professionals, from different nationalities- for positions across the world!! And this is what he has to say;

"(salaries vary by passport) initial salaries are only world competitive; but with their freebies, markups, world's best retirement plan and savings stuff, an american guy who joins them now at anything ~ $100k and stick's it out 10/15 yrs will come back w/ $3 - 12 million in their pocket - I don't know of anywhere safe where a guy can do that - and I know 10/20 + guys who have done that - the key is to stay (particularly if a guy is good) '

Design and Structural Engineers -Hydro projects in Australia

I have a bunch of requirements -all mandates of my NPA partner from Tasmania!

The client attracts motivated electrical/power engineers!

Positions are multiple and professionals would participate in teams engaged in the design of:

o Substations, equipment and layouts;
o Protection, control, metering and SCADA systems;
o Transmission line design and location;
o Undertake liaison with site work and provide advice as necessary; and
o Exercise autonomy in applying technical knowledge and judgement.
o Prepare feasibility studies for major electrical engineering projects;
o Prepare business cases based on technical expertise, reasoned argument, financial assessment and risk analysis;

We are also looking for a senior Mechanical Engineering Project Manager. They’ll need excellent English for this role as well as experience managing and mentoring staff on industrial projects
