Over the past couple of years-somehow this blog took a back seat

We have been trying to consolidate all the jobs on to one blog-

Over the last couple of years- the concept of an expat job has significantly been challenged. With companies keeping an eye on the rising costs, there has been a trend to focus LOCALLY more than before.

-Companies now are interested in promoting the repat jobs-ie people of local origin-who have a fair track record in professional companies overseas-and willing to repatriate back. Thus-they have can leverage on the roots-as well as long term commitment-rather than depending on the cross pollination of talent hitherto!

- Another change- is that most countries too -with uncertainty in economy looming over longer periods now, have been promoting policies to promote the employment opportunities for 'sons of the soil'-by making it more difficult for companies to attract & employ foreigners.

Country Manager- Sales -Silicone products in India

My associate from NPA has shared this mandate!

We are on the lookout for a senior sales professional to be based in India-to help one of the largest conglomerate companies in Korea in the 'silicone' technology business

The ideal candidate would be a professional with a proven track record in the Silicone business in India-and would have worked in one of the following domains : Silicone, Poly silicon, Inorganic /construction materials. glass, paints!

The person would be independently in charge of India-and will have the responsibility of driving pan India sales.

Director -Customer Support @Bangalore

This position has been forwarded to us by a NPA associate. Their client is a Nasdaq listed company with operations in over 120 countries, with solutions addressing a wide variety of enterprise customers.

Presently, we are on the look out for a topnotch professional to lead the regional ( catering to the Asia Pac customers) support center team in order to achieve direct and in direct client customer support to the client products and solutions.

The person would head a team of about 20 professionals to provide T1/T2 remote support with expected response time and meeting SLA agreements.

An Engineer with a strong exposure to customer support in one of following areas: SQL database, web application, CTI/PBX and VOIPs-would be the most preferred candidate!

Practice Director-Telecom Software company in Mumbai

- have a good mix of project delivery, business development, account management and technical domain knowledge in telecoms software within tier 1 telecoms clients.

- presently be working in a big 4 consulting or tier 2 telecoms company

- be responsible for applications development and deployment and integration of intelligent software for Tier-1 telecommunication service providers to ensure voice, data, IP and content services over legacy and next generation networks.

Wanted Professional from Power Projects / Industrial Water Systems@Hyderabad

For a slew of projects for our infrastructure industry clients, we are on the look out for Engineers across different functions/levels and domains.
Positions exist for professionals from 6 to 20yrs experience with experience in Power Projects / Industrial Water Systems -with specific focus on any :
1) Coal handling
2) Rotating equipment
3) Boiler Plant Layout, Detailed Layout drawings of BOP Systems.
4) Circulating Cooling Water, Raw Water Systems
Also required are
a) Electrical Engineers with hands on exp in process design, calculations, equipment sizing, preparation of purchase specifications, technical evaluation of the bids, participation in technical meetings with vendors and clients/consultants, vendor document review/approval and site technical support

b) Mechanical Engineers for
i)Water systems, Fire Protection, HVAC & Misc.BoP systems with good process knowledge, analytical & Communication skills,

ii) Plant Layout, isometrics, selection of supports and hangers, knowledge of stress analysis, preparation of fabrication drawings etc.

iii) Rotating equipment such as pumps (BFP, CEP), Fans (FD, ID, PA) and Power cycle equipment (TG, BOILER and its auxiliaries, feed heaters etc.)
c) Civil /Structural engineers for analysis and design of Steel and RCC structures. Preparation of Technical Specifications and BOQ for Tender purposes.

d) Contract Administrators. Preference will be for professionals with exposure to Claims Management With Customer and Suppliers / Contractors;

Director Finance @Hyderabad

The requirement is for a mid size organisation in Hyderabad -with about 500 employees.

Reporting to the CEO, the Director finance will set the company's financial policy and direction while also being an active participant in, and driver of, the organization’s overall strategy. S/he will lead all financial administration, business planning, and budgeting. As a member of the senior leadership team, the Director will work closely with a motivated and engaged finance and governance committee of the board of directors, apart from investors.

Specific responsibilities include:
-Partner with the CEO on all operational and strategic issues as they arise; provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.
-Participate in the ongoing strategic planning process as an integral member of the senior management team.
Financial and Operational Management

Oversee budgeting, and the implementation of budgets, so as to monitor progress and present operational metrics both internally and externally.

Ensure that finance staff maintains financial record systems in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and monitor the use of all funds.
Oversee the preparation and approval of all financial reporting materials and metrics for funding organizations and board of directors; prepare and communicate monthly and annual financial statements.
Manage cash flow and forecasting; direct all financial, project-based, and departmental accounting.
The Director will be a seasoned and mature leader with at least 12-15 years of broad finance experience, ideally beginning in audit, followed by experience gathering and evaluating financial information and making actionable recommendations to senior leadership. S/he will ideally have experience managing finance (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting), and IT for an organisation.
The ideal person would be :

-A hands-on manager with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
-An effective communicator, with strong oral and written skills.
-Strong commitment to developing team members.
- Demonstrated commitment to the social sector with a passion for the organization’s mission is essential.
